Research and Professional Experience

My speciality is marketing novel and innovative technologies via scalable edutaining methods, bringing them to the maximum amount of end-users by using interactive presentations, lectures and social media, and bringing these from the level of innovative research to the level of the end product.
With different business domains, I have pioneered techniques and methods that have been at early stages during implementing era, for example QR code supported animated online cartoons as RLOs for making workbooks interactive for kids, usage of social media in educating sector,  using short videos and sample programs with engaging narratives background to engage kindergarten and elementary teachers with STEM and robotics.
When looking at my work as an educator, I have to bring forth the creation of educating cartoon character Jänku-Juss and related cartoons, each of these bringing a valuable piece of information to the viewer in a format that enables children easily understand and assimilate this information. The cartoons are available through channels www.lastekas.ee and (biggest Estonian Youtube channel) www.youtube.com/lastekas and they gain every month more views than the number of Estonian population is. Besides cartoons the character is presented in quite a few educating books and workbooks. For the educating work using cartoons and books/workbooks I have been awarded by several well known organizations (see section Honors).
Also, the years 2014 until now I have been active as a robotics educator for the school teachers in popularising STE(A)M and robotics among educational sector with a goal of relaying the necessary STE(A)M education through teachers to the children, helping thus growing a generation of highly educated young people.
During 2017 I have been working out several video courses about educational robotics platforms for Udemy.com. Also, I was the member of the 1st Cyprus Robotics Challenge organising committee, which took place June 25th and project manager of 1st Tallinn Robotics day which took place 25th of April. I’ve conducted international and local workshops about educational robotics and virtual reality for teachers, students and politicians.
